Beloved Performer The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at Age 60.

The actor Pat Finn had a key role in the well-loved series "The Middle".

Stateside actor Finn, who appeared in beloved TV shows including "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away aged 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in Los Angeles recently after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.

"Pat considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his relatives said in a message.

They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.

He subsequently landed a regular part on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.

He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, like:

  • King of Queens
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House, M.D.

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies include It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".

A Life in Improv

Away from his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.

He was involved with a six-member improv team called "Beer Shark Mice".

"He guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find anyone who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote online.

Finn is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his children, and his family.
