The latest action-packed title that gamers experienced was Far Cry 6, that featured Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and came out during October 6, 2021. In the game universe, it is famous for delighting in chaos and insanity with similar enthusiasm, all while telling captivating, socially charged narratives. No wonder then that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry seasonal program attracted two visionaries whose projects have represented all of those qualities.

What to Expect

Inspired by Ubisoft's popular video game series, the short-run anthology series will stream on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The anthology will also mirror the video games' structure by having a different setting and ensemble in each season.

Executive Team

Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the mind behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as executive producers on the series via their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

The network enjoyed excellent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are thrilled that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” stated Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will tell this story in a way that is innovative, compelling, and extremely entertaining. We also want to acknowledge our partners at Ubisoft for entrusting us with this beloved property.”

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also feature in the show, but at the time of writing, we have no details on what character that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently approved for another season, with FX and Disney finalizing a new overall deal with the showrunner.

A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has remains undisclosed. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
