Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
