White House Condemns 'Democratic Hoax' as Additional Epstein Estate Images Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have published a new tranche of what they labeled "alarming" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Included in the prominent personalities shown in the first release are celebrities including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Response
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the pictures for electoral motives and to "attempt to fabricate a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson said, maintaining that "the Trump administration has accomplished more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by consistently demanding disclosure, releasing reams of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Panel Member Remarks
The photographs were disclosed without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and senior member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"Now is the occasion to halt this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a release.
The publication of these images coincides with the House panel pressing on with its investigation into the Epstein case.
